La mascota de esta semana es una verdadera ricura de perro... y su tia, Maria, es fan de Michael. Viven en Yuncos, una ciudad muy cerquita de Toledo, España.

The pet of this week is a very, very cute dog....and its aunt Maria is a fan of Michael. They live in Yuncos, a city close to Barcelona, Spain.

¡Hola! ¡¡¡Os presento a "Thor"!!!

Hello! This is "Thor"!!!

Esta cosita tan linda es el perrito de mi primo y es de una raza llamada Bulldog francés.

This cute little thing is my cousin's dog and its race is called French Bulldog.

¿Os habéis fijado que lleva una especie de tirita en una de las orejas? ¿Sabéis por qué??? El motivo es porque en esta foto aún era muy pequeñín, sólo tenía unos mesecitos y aún no se le sostenían solas las orejas. Con esto conseguimos corregirlas y conseguir que le queden rectas.
Have you noticed that Thor is wearing a band-air in one ear? Do you know why??? The reason is because Thor is still very young, just a few months old and it can't manage yet to keep its ears up, they bend...The band-air helps to correct this problem and to keep the ears in the right position.

Thor es un perrito muy asustadizo, pero cuando coje confianza con la gente en seguida se pone a jugar con ellos. Thor is a very scary dog, but when he gains confidence, then he likes playing with you.

La respiración de estos perros es tan fuerte que si le pillas durmiendo puedes oirle roncar, jeje. The breathing of these dogs is so strong that if you catch them sleeping you can hear their snoring.

Si buscais un perro de compañía, este es el vuestro, pero si por el contrario, buscais correr, dar largos paseos, o algo que signifique un gran esfuerzo físico, no conteis con perros de esta raza son un tanto vaguetes... No tiene la culpa, pobrecitos, son así por su complexión física, ya que tienen las patitas muy cortas y son bastante gordotes. If you are looking for a companion dog, then this is yours, but...if instead you're looking for someone to run, to do long walks, or something that means a great physical effort, don't count on dogs of this race since they are a little bit lazy...It's not their fault, poor little boys, the reason for that is their physique, their legs are too short and they are a little bit fat for so much exercice.  

A mi personalmente me hace mucha gracia cuando se tumba en el suelo y empieza a dar vueltas porque parece una croqueta : ) I personally like when Thor lies on the floor and starts spinning like a croquette. It makes me laughing.  : )

En mi casa, gracias a mis padres, de niña siempre he tenido perros. A ellos les encanta,y se preocuparon de criarme con el cariño siempre de una mascota en mi vida. He tenido de todo un poco: hamster, canario, peces, tortugas, pero la figura del perro nunca a faltado en casa. En toda mi niñez he tenido varios. Pero con mi primer sueldo la ilusion que tenia era comprarme un Husky Siberiano.Y asi lo hize.
In my house, thanks to my parents, as a child I always had dogs. They love them, and they wanted I'd grow up with the love of a pet always in my life. I've had a little of every kind: hamster, canary, fish, turtles, but the figure of the dog was never lacking at home. In my childhood I've had some. But my wish was to buy a Siberian Husky with my first salary. And I did so.

A mi padre le encantaban los perros grandes.Una vez tuvo uno.Pero para un piso siempre hemos tenido medianos o pequeños.El no queria perros grandes es casa.Pero lo comvenci jejejeje,era irresistible.Me acuerdo como si fue ayer que me fui a una exposicion y pregunte y di con un criador.Cuando me pusieron a esta bolita de pelo de tres meses, con ojos azules en mis brazos ...fue...increhible...la ilusión del mi vida.Nació en 1992. Lo llamé ZARCO.

My father loved big dogs . Once, he had one. But because we lived in an apartment we have always had medium or small ones. He did not want big dogs at home. But I convinced him....it was irresistible. I remember like it was yesterday that I went an exhibition and asked and found a breeder. When they put this three-month-old ball of hair with blue eyes in my arms ... it was ...incredible... the illusion of my life. It was born in 1992. I call it ZARCO.

  
Fue una gran experiencia en mi vida, me apunté a sacarme el titulo de Adiestramiento y Educacion Canina, y en las clases practicas aprendimos los dos a la vez.
It was a great experience in my life, I enroled in a school to get the graduation in Canine Training and Education, and at the practical lessons both of us we learned at the same time.

Esta raza es muy suya, cabezones, tozudos, muy suyos, independientes totalmente del dueño. This strain is big-headed, stubborn, very own, completely independent of the owner.
 

Él era especial. Siempre lo fue. Había a una conexion entre los dos, que llegó al punto de con solo mirarle, el ya sabía lo que yo quería. El criador y gente entendida en esta raza, se quedaban de piedra. Iba suelto por la calle, al lado mio, no cruzaba para nada solo. Nos quería mucho a mis padres y a mi. Mi padre estaba loco con él, y siempre pegado a mi madre cuando cocinaba jajajajajaja. Era fantástico verlo correr por la playa...aún me acuerdo...
It was special. It always was. There was a connection between the two of us, to the point that just looking at him was enough to let him know what I wanted. The breeder and knowledgeable people in this race, were atonished. It walked in the streets by my side, it did not cross the street alone at all. It loved my parents and me a lot. My father was mad with him, and it was always stuck to my mother when she was cooking, jajajajajaja. It was fantastic to see it running on the beach...I still can remember it...

Tuvo un final muy bonito, en el que vi como se me iba apagando... su luz se apagaba ....y yo ......  tan egoista...me resistia a perderlo...hize todo lo que pude.....el veterinario estuvo un mes luchando contra una diabetes. No dimos con la dosis exacta. Se probaron varias insulinas, e incluso de personas, pero mi perro tenía que vivir enchufado a una máquina. Una mañana me llamaron y salí corriendo, estaba peor... Al verlo se arrastró hacia mi...se estaba despidiendo...era una despedida...miró a mi padre y a mi novio, y siguióarrastrándose y salió al pasillo, buscaba a mi madre...ella se quedó en casa......Estuvimos esperando hasta el último segundo...yo ahí pegada a él....cuando dejó de respirar... le puso la inyección. Yo tenía la esperanza que se agarraría a la vida, pero la enfermedad no lo dejó... Falleció el 1 de Septiembre del  2003, a la edad de 11 años.
He had a very nice end, where I could see how it was going off... its light went out .... and I ... so selfish ... I was reluctant to lose it... I did everything I could ..... the vet spent a month fighting against its diabetes. We could not find the exact dose. Several insulins, even those for humans, were tested, but my dog ​​had to live plugged into a machine. One morning they called me and ran off, it was getting worse...When I saw him, he crawled towards me ... it was its farewell ... it looked at my father and my boyfriend, and it dragged on and went out into the hallway, looking for my mother. She stayed at home...We were waiting until the last second there ...I stuck to it.... when it stopped breathing they put him an injection. I had the hope that it would cling to life, but the disease didn't allow him .... He died on 1rst September 2003, at the age of 11 years.

Una parte de mi se fue con él....nada ha sido igual desde entonces.....después caí yo mala por una depresión.....hasta que a raiz de un  sueño..era tan real...mi Zarco me hizo entender que vinieron a buscarlo y tuvo que marchar.
A part of me went with it.... nothing has been the same since then ... thereafter I felt ill with a depression .... but it was in a dream, that it was a very real one ... when my Zarco made me understand that they came to pick up it and it had to go.
 
Desde esta pagina tan maravillosa y gracias a Michael Jackson, he querido hacerle este pequeño homenaje a quien fue importante en mi vida.

Sólo han pasado 4 meses desde que Charly llegó a casa...pero parece que hubiese estado aquí toda una vida...

Me gustaría compartir con vosotros mi experiencia....de adopción de....un conejo.
I'd like to share with you my experience...of an adoption of... a rabbit.

Era lo que menos me podía imaginar...Cuando mi hija Júlia me dijo que acababa de 'ver a un conejo blanco corriendo' en medio de los jardines de nuestro pueblo, al lado de riachuelo, me imaginé a mi misma como a Alicia en el País de las Maravillas de Lewis Carroll.
It was far from expected...When my daughter Júlia told me she just 'saw a white rabbit' running in the middle of the gardens of our town, close to the river I imagined myselft being Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll...

Inmediatamente, mi marido me miró, me miró a los ojos y me dijo : '¡No!? sin tan siquiera preguntar qué estaba pensando...porque era obvio...

Immediately, my husband looked at me, he looked at my eyes and said 'No!'  without even asking what I was thinking about...It was more than obvious...

Ya teníamos a 'Toby' un pequeño conejito enano...pero no me importó...
We already had 'Toby' a small rabbit... but I didn't mind....

El día 29 de Agosto de 2011 inauguramos con todos vosotros este espacio: Mascotas Club, una asociación sin ánimo de lucro fundada en Barcelona en honor a Michael Jackson, que es quien nos inspira.

On August 29th 2011 we celebrated together the opening of Mascotas Club is a non-profit association founded in Barcelona in honour of Michael Jackson, who is our inspiration.

La asociación fue inscrita en el Departamento de Justicia de la Generalitat de Catalunya con nª de registro: 9001-369499 / 2011.

Hoy, tenemos la satisfacción y el orgullo de anunciar que acabamos de recibir la notificación firmada del Director General de Derecho y Entidades Jurídicas, con fecha del 10 de Octubre de 2011 que resuelve inscribir en la Sección 1a del Registro de Asociaciones de la Generalitat la asociación llamada Mascotas Club. Es decir...¡¡¡Ya somos una asociación legalmente formalizada!!!!

Today, we are pleased and honored to announce that we just received the notification from the Law and Juridic Institutions General Director, dated October 10th 2011, which decides to register Mascotas Club in 1rst Section of the Register of Associacions of the Generalitat. This means that.... We are formally, legaly an Association!!!! 

Hemos preparado un pequeño vídeo, con un reportaje fotográfico hecho por Júlia, una de las peques del Club que asistió acompañada de su muñeca preferida.Tuvimos la satisfacción de tener también una invitada especial CarmenMemotaMJ, fan de Michael sevillana y encontrarnos con LorenaJackson Cárdenas, Sonia Bernat y sus nenas Maria y Nerea, todas ellas fans de Michael y miembros de Mascotas Club. ¡Esperamos que os guste! 
We have prepared a small video, with a photographic report done by Júlia, one of the kids of this Club that attended the meeting with her favourite doll. Dick Zinnerman, que tomó las famosas fotos de Michael para la cubierta del álbum Thriller, recuerda que al comienzo de la sesión de fotos, Michael era muy tímido. 

Dick Zinnerman who took the famous photos of Michael for the cover of the Thriller album recalls that at the beginning of the photoshoot, Michael was very shy.

"Una vez que el pequeño tigre fue llevado al estudio de Michael empezó a relajarse. Tenía una manera de interactuar y conectarse con el animal que fue significativa. Tuve la fuerte impresión de que prefería la compañía del tigre más que la de los extraños. Michael es realmente único y un día tal vez en 100 o 1000 años, el mundo se dará cuenta."

 "Once the little tiger was brought into the studio Michael started to relax. He had a way to interact and connect with the animal that was significant. I had the strong impression that he preferred the company of the tiger more than the one of foreign people. Michael is truly unique and one day maybe in 100 or 1000 years the world will get it".

El tigre fue nombrado 'Little William' y era mucho más nervioso que Michael. Pero la personalidad de Michael y su espíritu le ayudaron a calmarse. La armonía entre Michael y el tigre inspiró a todo el equipo y 300 fotos fueron tomadas ese día. Al final, Michael y el tigre eran inseparables.

The tiger was named 'Little William' and was much more nervous than Michael. But Michael's tender personality and spirit helped to calm him down. The harmony between Michael and the tiger inspired the entire team and 300 photos were taken that day. In the end Michael and the tiger were inseperable.

¿Por qué Michael vestía con un traje blanco? Cuando las fotos fueron tomadas, el título del álbum no se había decidido todavía. Why is Michael wearing a white suit? When the photos were taken a title for the album had not been decided. Michael no le gustaba la ropa que fue elegida para el rodaje y, de hecho, llevaba traje de Dick Zinnermans. ¿Qué pasó con el traje?

Michael did not like the clothes that were chosen for the shoot and in fact wore Dick Zinnermans suit. What happened to the suit?

"I auctioned it off at Sotheby's years ago. I was concerned with the safety of my wife and myself because, at the time, we had a very big house and I went out of town a lot. I didn't know if word would get around that I had the suit, and I didn't want to take a chance. I decided to just get rid of it. How much did it sell for? I believe I got $27,000 for it, and I'm guessing that was 10 years ago. Today, I could probably get a million bucks for it.

In Greek mythology, the story of Lycaon provides one of the earliest examples of the legend of werewolves. LOTERIA de NAVIDAD It's all for LOVE projects 2011

El año pasado It's all for LOVE projects organizó participaciones de Lotería de Navidad Benéfica pro-Debra. Tuvimos la suerte de que uno de los dos números acabara como el segundo premio así que nos tocó "la pedrera" (10 euros por papeleta) y a lo recaudado (220 euros) se le añadió la generosidad de los premio. El total ofrecido en donativos a DebraEspaña fue de 440 euros. Puedes leer nuestra reseña en el blog

Este año, el nº de lotería es el 63.829, compuesto por 3 números especiales: acaba con el mes y el día de nacimiento de Michael : 8-29, tiene el año de nacimiento de una de las fans que participan en el libro 'Altares para Michael'. Henemos editado 600 participaciones de 3 euros, con 1euro de donativo para Debra y están casi, casi agotadas.

Hemos hecho de Embajadores difundiendo información sobre la enfermedad y recaudando donativos para los niños online y desde 8 ciudades españolas: Barcelona (Lydia Giménez-Llort), Jaén (RosaMª Ruiz), Jijona (María Teresa Selfa Baldo), León (Noelia González Berjón), Madrid (Cata Siguaraya), Sevilla (Carmen MemotaMj), Tarragona (Jesús Miranda) y desde Vigo (Eva Vidal).

El total de donativos recaudados para los niños con piel de mariposa será de 600 euros.
Los proyectos de este año son: 

1) Ayuda económica y 'Embajadores' de Debra España (www.debra.es)
La ayuda económica que podamos enviar es importante pero además Debra España tiene un reto para acabar con el olvido que pesa sobre los afectados por Piel de Mariposa (EB, epidermiolisis bullosa): Conseguir, como mínimo, 1 socio por cada afectado con EB en España. Es decir, que por cada enfermo haya una persona no afectada que conoce la enfermedad, habla de ella, difunde sus necesidades y contribuye económicamente en los proyectos. Ya se han conseguido 188 de los 227 embajadores. Cada vez que alguien vende o compra una papeleta de Lotería de Navidad pro-DEBRA realiza un pequeño acto que ayuda a romper con ese olvido. 

2) DebraChile. Nuestro amigo Eugenio, que es chileno, ha recaudado 50 euros en donativos así que este año, además de ayudar a los niños, con su recaudación ayudará a su país.

3) Proyecto de It's all for LOVE /Mascotas Club en Debra México 150 euros.
En DebraMexico, una necesidad real para los pacientes foráneos es el hospedaje. DebraMexico ha alquilado una casa, que cuenta con dos baños, una cocina y una habitación con 6 literas donde podrán dormir algunos pacientes. La Clínica-Albergue Debra Mexico AC tiene una nueva área de odontología  y las habituales de dermatología, nutrición, psicología y rehabilitación.

Gracias a la Lotería de Navidad Pro-Debra, It's all for LOVE projects contribuye con 6 edredones, decoración Disney para las paredes.  Hemos enviado ya el primer edredón de ToyStory y ahora tenemos que decidir los otros 5 edredones que van a enviarse a NuevoLeón.

"Mi Mekeres... Qué decir de mi Mekeres, qué decir de alguien que lo ha sido todo para mi...de ese ser tan especial que llego a mi vida y que durante 14 años fue la luz de mis ojos...

My Merekes...What can I say about my Mekeres, what can I say of someone who has been everything for me...of such an special being that arrived to my life and that during 14 years was the light of my eyes...

Llegó un día, así de repente...tan pequeñita, la vida la habia tratado mal. Nunca habíamos tenido ningún animal en casa, pero decidimos darle una vida mejor, ella lo merecía...y desde ese momento se quedó en mi corazón para siempre...
She arrived one day, suddenly... so small, life had treated her badly. We never had an animla at home, but we decided to give her a better life, she deservet it... and since then, she remained in my heart for ever.

Ella fue mi gran compañera, en mis penas y alegrías, siempre estuvo ahí a mi lado, sin pedir nada a cambio, sólo dando amor... Se convirtió en una parte de mi familia muy importante, era como mi hijita, le daba de comer, dormía conmigo, le contaba todo... con pocas personas me sentiré tan unida como a ella, simplemente lo era todo para mi... 
She was my great companion, in my sorrows and joys, she was always there at my side, asking nothing in return, just giving love... she became a very important part of my family, she was like my little daughter, I feed her, she sleeped with me, I told her everything... with few people I'll feel as close as I felt with her, simply she meant evrything to me...  

Sabía que un día se iría, pero creo que nunca quise hacerme a la idea, sólo imaginarlo era demasiado doloroso para mi... y ahora que han pasado ya 9 meses que te fuiste, quizás sigo sin hacerme a la idea... todo este tiempo ha sido tan doloroso, todavía no puedo creer que no estés aquí... la verdad aún creo verte en algún rincón de mi casa o incluso alguna vez te siento acostada junto a mi y eso me llena de una paz increible...
I knew that one day she would go, but I think I never wanted to get used to the idea, just to imagine it was too painful for me... and now that 9 months have passed since you left, maybe I still do not get the idea... all this time has been so painful, yet I can not believe you're not here... the truth is that I still see you somewhere at home or sometimes I even feel you lying next to me and it fills me with incredible peace...

Ahora con el paso del tiempo he aprendido quizás a encontrar algo de paz... mi mayor consuelo es saber que tu ahora estás con Michael, que estáis los dos juntitos en el cielo, y que eres muy feliz junto a la persona más maravillosa que pisó esta tierra... y es entonces cuando recupero un poco de esa felicidad perdida... sabiendo que Michael cuida de ti, sé que ahora es a EL a quien le harás esas palmitas tan graciosas que solías hacer...
Now, with the time, I've learned perhaps to find some peace... my greatest comfort is knowing that you are now with Michael, that you are both close together in the sky, and you're very happy with the most wonderful person on Earth... and then I recover some of that lost happiness... knowing that Michael cares about you, that now HE is the one who gets your funny affection...that one you used to do...

La mañana del pasado sábado 3 de septiembre me encontré una cajita encima del mármol de la cocina. En su interior estaba él, con un precioso color rojo dorado. 

On the morning of last saturday September 3rd, I found a box on the marble of my kitchen. There was 'something' inside: it was a beautiful golden red fish!.

Cuando mi hija se levantó le pregunté y descubrí porqué y cómo. Lo había ganado como premio en la feria, durante la Fiesta Mayor de Sant Quirze, donde vivimos. 

When my daughter awaked I asked her about 'why and how'. The answer was: she won it as a prize in the fair, during our town festival. 

Que yo sepa, NUNCA hay que regalar un animal, menos como premio, porque hay que garantizar siempre que los animales necesitan cuidados y cariño. 

To my knowledge, we must NEVER give an animal as a reward, because we must always ensure that animals will receive the care and affection they need.

Pensé que habría que devolverlo, pero Tata (Carmen MemotaMJ) había venido desde Sevilla para ir a la misa para Michael en Barcelona ese mismo día y ella siempre me llama "mi Willy Fog" así que inmediatamente pensé que es pez era Willy, Willy Fog, surcando el mar, de aquí para allí. 
I thought I would return it, but Tata (Carmen MemotaMJ) had come from Sevilla to attend the Mass for Michael in Barcelona on that same day and she always calls me "my Willy Fog", so I immediately thought it was Willy, Willy Fog, furrowing the sea from here to there.
 
Al día siguiente, le puse un poco de coral artificial y pequeñas caracolas para adornar su casita. 
The next day, I put some artificial coral and little shells to decorate its house. 

Es la primera vez que tengo un pez, un pez como mascota y la verdad es...que me hace mucha ilusión. Tendré que ir a la biblioteca a buscar libros para saber cómo cuidarlos bien y hacerles felices.

It is the first time I have a fish, a fish as a pet and the truth is...I am very excited. I have to go to the library to find a book on how to take good care and make it happy.

La chiquitaja se llama Peke y su cumpleaños es el 15 de Febrero. Tiene un añito y 6 meses. Pesa 1Kg200g.
The name of this little baby is Peke (from small) and its birthday is February 15th.  It's a year and 6 months old. It weighs 2.65 Lb.

Y sobre cosas que hace...
And about the things it does...

Todas las mañanas a las 7:00h empieza a morder su jaula y dar patadas con las patas de atrás en ella para que la dejes salir. Cuando la dejo salir, yo me vuelvo a la cama un ratito más y ella se viene detrás mio, para subirse en la cama a mi lado y que le haga mimitos. ¡¡¡Le encanta que la toquen!!!
Every morning at 7:00 a.m. it starts biting its cage and kicking back with its legs on it to demand getting out of its cage. Then, when I let it out and I go back to my bed to rest for a little longer, it comes behind me, climbs into my bed next to me and expects some cuddle. It loves to be touched!

Hay veces que cuando ve que yo me voy a ir a trabajar y mi madre no se ha levantado, se cuela en su habitación, se sube a su cama y la despierta para que no la meta en su jaula.
Sometimes when it sees that I'm going to go to work and my mother has not get up yet, it sneaks into her room, climbs into her bed and wakes up her to avoid I put it back to its cage.

Cuando esta contenta, y no hace tanto calor como estos días, da saltos muuuuy altos para demostrar que está feliz. 

When it's happy, but is not as hot as these days, it jumps veeeery high to demonstrate that it's happy.
